- Starsailor -
London based band Starsailor released its first album, 'Love is Here' in 2001. The four man band from Chorley formed at the beginning of the year 2000. 21 year old frontman James Walsh met James Stelfox (bass) and Ben Byrne (drums) at music college in Wigan. Keyboard player Barry Westhead joined the band soon after. They played their first gig in April 2000 at the Heavenly Social in London and within three months had signed to EMI. Starsailor's influences include Tim Buckley (their name derives from one of his LPs), Van Morrison, Neil Young and Jeff Buckley. official site
